About Me

My Background

My name is Scott Oyer. I am a U.S. Soccer National D licensed coach and have been coaching both recreational and select programs for boys and girls (ages 6-13) for Newport Youth Soccer Club the past 6 years. I am a Redmond High School graduate where I also worked as the baseball JV Head Coach and Varsity Assistant Head Coach. From ages 13 to 18 I played baseball for a number of local premier select baseball teams. I'm a U.S. Army Veteran where I served as a medic in the 82nd Airborne.  My passion is helping kids find their love for sports and watching them develop their skills and confidence both on and off the field.

My Coaching Philosophy

I focus not only on building the basic skills required to perform but also on the "Why's"  behind the skills and tips and tricks to gain a competitive edge on the field. I also put a large emphasis on building a well rounded individual both on and off the field by tying in life lessons through sports. The focus is on individual improvement and fun, and I work with each player to set goals and objectives to meet during our sessions.

What We Do

We offer private and small group skills training for soccer and baseball in a low pressure, fun environment. Each training session or program is tailored to the individual player based on their goals, desires, and skill level.  Players have more fun when they have confidence on the field, and our focus is to build athletes who love the game. We offer flexible hours and field locations to work into your busy schedule.
